Antigua & Barbuda Intellectual Property & Commerce Office falls under the Ministry of Legal Affairs. This year makes ten years since this Office has existed.
VisionThe Antigua & Barbuda Intellectual Office & Commerce Office (ABIPCO) is the main administrative mechanism that ensures the registration and compliance of all business names, local companies, external companies, non-profits and friendly societies. In addition, this Office is charged with the responsibility of granting Intellectual Property Rights for applications in Trademarks, Patents, Industrial Designs, Geographical Indications, Integrated circuits and new plant varieties. The Office also gives general advice on Copyright laws.
The Mission of ABIPCO is to provide a global standard of professionalism, through compliance with all the laws while using the best practices. ABIPCO aims to provide training and career prospects for all staff members to provide them to be as knowledgeable as possible in their relevant fields. ABIPCO tries to ensure that legislation is current and properly ensures protection.
